Smart City in a Box for Surbana and Microsoft

Arnaud was pivotal in designing Smart City in a Box solutions across the Asia Pacific, leveraging Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform. Launched in 2016, Smart City in a Box integrates applications for security, efficiency, sustainability, and community, enabling better city management. Moving the platform to Azure will enable global deployment, scalability, cost savings, disaster recovery, and automatic updates. Microsoft’s predictive analytics, machine learning, and video analytics will enhance predictive lift maintenance and surveillance, reducing breakdowns and improving safety. This first-of-its-kind collaboration will leverage Surbana Jurong’s expertise in monitoring 24,000 lifts in Singapore’s public housing estates while granting Microsoft access to real-world smart city operations. Both companies aim to scale these innovations across Asia Pacific.
